Lloydâs syndicate AEGIS London, in collaboration with tech-enabled MGA Augentic, has launched a new cross-class digital follow consortium in the Lloydâs market, enabling brokers to secure a follow line spanning Property, Casualty and Specialty risks through a single digital arrangement.
This âmarket firstâ facility is reportedly designed to simplify placement and improve speed to market, and includes capacity from Argenta, Chaucer and Liberty Specialty Markets.
According to AEGIS London, which operates Lloydâs Syndicate 1225 and comprises the UK-based subsidiaries of AEGIS, the launch comes as brokers face âcontinued pressureâ to place increasingly complex risks more efficiently, while navigating tighter timelines and capacity constraints across multiple classes.
âBy providing seamless, digital access to follow capacity across AEGIS Londonâs underwriting portfolio, the consortium is designed to reduce friction in the placement process, to support faster decisionâmaking and improve certainty of execution for brokers and their clients,â the firm added.
Tom Squires, Head of Distribution at AEGIS London, commented, âWeâve always used consortia as a way to deploy capacity intelligently, but this is the first time weâve fully fused that approach with our digital strategy.

âAs the follow market becomes more sophisticated, digital follow and smart follow structures create a real opportunity to support brokers with greater speed and certainty, while harnessing the expertise of lead underwriters and remaining anchored to underwriting discipline. This is about using digital capability to enhance underwriting excellence, not replace it.â
Alex Powell, Chief Executive of AEGIS London, noted, âI am delighted that AEGIS London has been selected by Augentic to spearhead this new initiative. As the market evolves, automation and rapid decision-making are increasingly critical.
âBy embracing innovation and rethinking distribution, we are well positioned to seize new opportunities in specialty insurance, while remaining true to AEGIS Londonâs strategy of delivering underwriting excellence.â
Daniel Prince, Chief Executive Officer of Augentic, said, âItâs great to be working with AEGIS London on this initiative. They have a strong reputation in the Lloydâs market for consistent underwriting results and a disciplined approach through the cycle, which made them a natural partner for us as we target building sustainable facilities that work for clients, brokers and carriers.â
As mentioned, Augentic is a techâenabled MGA that is built for brokers and carriers who want to trade digitally without the complexity of building inâhouse solutions.
