International business insurer QBE has appointed Jack Norman as Director of Financial Lines for its International Markets portfolio, based in London.

qbe logoIn his new role, Norman reports to Kevin Shallow, Executive Director, International Markets, QBE.

He will additionally join QBE’s International Markets leadership team and work closely with underwriting teams and product leaders to set the strategic direction for the financial lines portfolio.

He succeeds Jamie Thompson, who was recently appointed to the newly created role of Global Director of Data Centres for QBE.

Norman has 15 years of industry experience, having specialised in financial lines whilst working across multiple product lines.

Before joining QBE in 2012, he served at Aon. At QBE, Norman has served in several leadership roles, most recently as Head of Technical & Business Performance since 2024.

Shallow commented on the appointment, “I am delighted to announce Jack’s appointment as Director of Financial Lines. He brings extensive financial lines expertise and strong leadership capabilities across multiple product lines to this strategic role. Once again, we are lucky to have been able to call upon our strong internal talent pool to lead a key area for QBE.”
