Global insurance and reinsurance group, Everest has announced the appointment of Jamie Taylor as its new Global Head of Group Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.
An experienced attorney, Taylor brings a decade of leadership and deep regulatory expertise to her new position.
She initially joined Everest in 2016 as an Associate General Counsel, and was appointed Vice President & Associate General Counsel seven years after that. In 2023 she was appointed to lead the North America Regulatory & Government Affairs team.
Prior to Everest, she spent a year as an Associate Attorney at Wright & Close, LLP, and close to six years at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP before that, where she held the same role.
Taylor has also served as a Paralegal for AIG, as well as Claims Analyst and Professional Associate-Claims.

Her appointment has been one of Everest’s most recent people moves. The company recently announced the promotion of Mike Reed to Head of Canada Treaty Reinsurance.
The executive brings deep underwriting expertise and collaborative leadership to his new role, instrumental skills as the firm continues to build upon a strong position in the Canada market, Everest noted.
