Donegal Insurance Group has expanded its partnership with ZestyAI, a provider of AI-driven insurance risk analytics, adding Z-PROPERTY™ to deepen its understanding of the properties and exposures across its personal lines portfolio.

This builds on their existing partnership, which began in 2025, when Donegal selected ZestyAI’s Roof Age solution to improve its internal data and understanding of property risk across its homeowners business.

Roof Age combines building permit records with more than two decades of historical aerial imagery to pinpoint roof replacement events, delivering near-complete coverage of the contiguous United States with accuracy above 90%. This turns a historically unreliable data point into one Donegal’s underwriters can trust.

With Z-PROPERTY, Donegal is bringing that same accuracy and verification to critical property variables, including roof condition, roof complexity, lot debris and other features that affect risk and premium.

This provides portfolio managers with evidence to support better risk decisions on policies and gives Donegal a verified view of exposure across its personal lines portfolio.
