Bermuda-based RenaissanceRe, a global provider of reinsurance and insurance solutions, has appointed Nicole Valadao as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Reinsurance Operations, following nearly a decade leading the company’s Internal Audit function.
In her new role, Valadao will work alongside RenaissanceRe’s Reinsurance Operations team and Business Solutions Group, focusing on developing existing operational capabilities and adapting processes to support the company’s evolving business requirements.
The appointment comes during a period of significant change across the industry, presenting opportunities to strengthen operational practices and prepare RenaissanceRe for future business needs.
Reflecting on her previous responsibilities, Valadao acknowledged the experience gained from almost ten years overseeing Internal Audit at RenaissanceRe.
She added: “As I make this transition, I’m enormously grateful for nearly a decade leading Internal Audit and for the incredible people I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from along the way. That experience has given me a unique perspective across the organisation and a deep appreciation for our business, our people and what makes RenaissanceRe special.”

Valadao joined RenaissanceRe in December 2016 after holding senior positions at Deloitte in Bermuda, including Partner and Director of Enterprise Risk Services. Her professional background encompasses internal audit, enterprise risk management and organisational oversight.
