Talbot, the specialist insurance business that is part of AIG, has appointed Corina Muller Monaghan as Chief Executive Officer of its US operations.

Muller Monaghan has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has spent more than seven years with Talbot. She most recently served as Head of Credit, Political Risk and Political Violence, Americas.

Before joining Talbot, Muller Monaghan held senior positions in the insurance and broking sector. She was Senior Vice President, Credit, Political and Security, at JLT Group, where her work included crisis management, political and credit risks, terrorism and political violence, among other specialist areas.

She previously served as a Senior Vice President at Willis Financial Solutions, focusing on political and credit risks. Earlier in her career, Muller Monaghan was Vice President, Political Risk and Structured Trade, at Aon Crisis Management, advising clients operating in emerging markets across sectors including energy, mining, infrastructure and manufacturing.
